You won't want to miss seeing artists and musicians express their search for meaning live, as well as participate in our interactive art stations (for all ages!). Check out the day-of program for the map of where these special locations are, the day-of. All attendees receive a special program, with maps included!, upon registration.

The Search for Meaning Book Festival takes place on the Seattle University campus, in the First Hill neighborhood near downtown Seattle and Capitol Hill. There is a central registration point for the Festival, where attendees should go prior to any session, located outside of the Pigott Building.

Driving Directions
Seattle University is located at 901 12th Avenue, Seattle. On the day of the Festival, all available on-campus parking is free and open to attendees. There is additional street parking, if available. For driving directions and an interactive map of the area please click here.
From the SEA-TAC Airport
Seattle University is located approximately 20 minutes north of Sea-Tac International Airport. Click here for a link to transportation options from the airport. Seattle University does not offer shuttle service.Click here for driving directions to main campus from I-5, I-90, and Highway 520.
By Bus
The new Bolt Bus takes passengers from Bellingham WA, Portland OR, and Vancouver BC to Seattle. They have competitive rates. Visit their website here for details. If you're already in town, visit the link here for Seattle Metro bus routes.
By Train
Seattle University is a quick taxi or bus ride from the train station.

The Sorrento Hotel, special Festival rates

SeaTac International Airport is located 12 miles from the Sorrento Hotel, about a 20 minute drive. Our esteemed concierge staff is able to arrange a Luxury Town Car to welcome you at the baggage claim of SeaTac Airport and transport you to the hotel for a fee of $65. (The fee for returning to the airport from the hotel is $40). Taxis from the airport to the hotel charge approximately $40. Seattle University is located 5 blocks away from the hotel, an ideal distance for a comfortable walk (past a Starbucks!) or a $6 taxi ride. The Sorrento features complimentary town car service, a courtesy that extended to all guests based upon availability.

Seattle University's campus has a variety of eating options for the day-of the Festival. There are additionally some wonderful eateries just steps away on Broadway, as well as 12th Avenue, and other streets within the Capitol Hill neighborhood (Pike St., Pine St.) and downtown Seattle.
On Campus

- Campion Hall: The Cave offers hot food, sandwiches, made from scratch soups and a wide variety of convenience foods, sundries, snacks, hot and cold beverages. Open 11am till 11pm.
- Student Center: The Cherry Street Market, located on the 2nd Floor, is the largest café on campus and is open from 8am to 2pm,
offering a wide variety of food and beverages--including made-to-order.
- Student Center: The Bistro is located on the 3rd floor and offers personal house
made pizzas and flavorful entrees from our open-hearth oven, salads,
sandwiches, made from scratch soups, house-made desserts, smoothies,
Caffé Vita espresso and assorted beverages. Open 2pm to Midnight.
- Pigott Building Atrium: The Bottom Line is open from 8am till 5pm with hot and cold
sandwiches, made from scratch soups, pre-made salads, house baked goods,
Caffé Vita espresso, and a wide variety of beverages.
- Sullivan Hall / Law School: The Sidebar offers sandwiches, salads, made from scratch soups, Stumptown espresso, pastries and assorted beverages. Open 8am to 5pm.
