Event Update: Our Story 2012, Annual Partner Gathering

On the evening of September 27th, over 100 individuals gathered for the Seattle University School of Theology and Ministry (STM) annual event that honors the groups within fourteen Christian denominations that have signed formal partnership agreements with the School, establishing and enlivening it as a truly ecumenical and diverse community.

Assistant Dean of Ecumenical and Interreligious Dialogue, Dr. Michael Reid Trice, hosted the evening which had a format that alternated between small group discussion in tables to collective sharing. Questions asked included: What are the major challenges in society that we can meet today?, What is our future path together?, What would be the need of theological education in the future?, What are our plans as Outreach Teams to achieve that future?.

Heartfelt sharing was offered throughout the evening, particularly by Denominational Outreach Team Chairs, Marcia Riggers and Lance Ousley; Formation Coordinators Scott Anderson and Marian Stewart; and Liturgical Consultants — Marilyn Stahl and Lara Bolger. Dean Mark S. Markuly, Associate Dean Sharon Callahan and others highlighted aspects of programs that are championed by all.

Many thanks to our partners for their continued support!
