    Co-sponsored by Seattle University’s School of Theology and Ministry, the Bet Alef Learning Institute welcomes Bernie Glassman, Zen Master and founder of the Zen Peacemakers to Seattle. Bernie Glassman’s spiritual journey has taken him from his Jewish upbringing to teaching socially engaged Buddhism through street retreats with the homeless, the Bearing Witness Retreat at Auschwitz and workshops throughout the world. He is a spiritual leader, accomplished author and teacher, successful businessman and trailblazing social entrepreneur for the greater good.
