On the evening of October 4, Seattle University’s School of Theology and Ministry welcomed over sixty executives, leaders and community members from each of its denominational partners to the annual "Our Story" gathering on campus in the Student Center.
Francis X. Clooney, SJ. was the guest of the evening, sharing from his own experience of encountering "the other" and intentional dialogue. From the academic setting of Boston College to living overseas, to life now at Harvard Divinity School's Center for the Study of World Religions, Fr. Clooney shared that not only has he engaged the rich belief and life practices of "the other," but in doing so, has learned more about himself and his own faith. The gathering included the denominationally linked "Outreach Teams," through which alumni reps and liturgical chaplains assist
students in their work toward faith-based service and leadership. Partner denomination welcomed students around the table, reflecting together in
prayer and music, and engaging in conversation.
