Prerequisite Program

Are you or your friends / family curious about the School and its programs? Seattle University School of Theology and Ministry offers this program as a foundation for anyone interested in theology, ministry and leadership. The courses are open to all prospective and admitted students as well as their family and friends. They meet the admissions requirement of two undergraduate theology classes. Each class is $50.

INTRODUCTION TO SCRIPTURE STUDY:
“What’s a pericope?”

This prerequisite course will help people learn to read the Scriptures with a variety of techniques including form critical, historical critical, and literary critical. In addition, it will offer a quick overview of the whole of the Scriptures. This course is recommended to any student planning to take Hebrew Scriptures in the Fall. “Please bring at least one Bible (two are preferred) to the first session!
