Student Community:
New Opportunities to Connect!

This upcoming Monday, October 8th, marks the first Identity Circle gathering for students-- one of the many incredible Student Community offerings this year at Seattle University STM. The Identity Circle events are new offerings that were developed from student requests, with the goal of creating a welcoming space for conversation, connection and support. The circles and their meeting frequency will be adjusted through students request.

Students, your circle(s) is waiting for you! See details here.

Colette Casavant, Student Community Coordinator, shares about the scope of opportunities being offered this year:
"Our Seattle University School of Theology and Ministry's vibrant student community is ever-growing and ever-evolving following students’ values and passions. This year we continue STM’s tradition of Quarterly Gatherings with our Associate Dean of Academics and Student Life, Dr. Sharon Callahan as well as our annual Mentor/Mentee lunch for new students to receive support from returning students. Additionally, we launched three new events: monthly Identity Circles, Table Share (Monday and Wednesday lunch gathering spaces) and the Assistant Dean of Ecumenical and Interreligious Dialogue’s Red Chair Series-- a topical conversation over lunch. Our Worship & Liturgy team is also sponsoring Tuesday and Thursday Linking Liturgy and Learning discussion groups. While these are our organized events, STM students spontaneously create their own intentional community: coffee outings, happy hour at the Chieftain, attending each other’s home church, concerts at one of Capitol Hill's many music venues, enjoying one of Seattle University's many great events, movies or Benaroya concerts."
