     Student Story: Luke Black, MATL

  • I was seeking a graduate education in something that excited me. The potential for long term life transformation was evident in the MA in Transformational Leadership program at Seattle University's School of Theology and Ministry. The people I met inspired me to take my passion forward and learn from them. I was searching for a graduate program that focused on developing leadership. After finding this degree, there was no doubt in my mind that this was the right place to be.

Ryan Fallgren, MATL Class of 2014
  • The Master of Arts in Transformational Leadership program has challenged me to fundamentally re-examine the traditional concepts of leadership and organizational structure that I had developed in thirty years in the business world. I now see that leadership is less about organizational charts and tasking particular individuals to do what is necessary to get the job done, and more about unleashing the creative energies and potential of the team.

Ben McConaughy, JD, MATL Class of 2011
  • How do we as leaders access this deep understanding we have of humans as human beings? Of values and what's important? Of morals of ideals?

Stephanie Peirolo, MATL Class of 2012
  • Seattle U has allowed me to bring all of my story to the table. I really got to express the fullness of who I am.

Bjorn Peterson, MATL Class of 2012
