Alumni
Living into the School of Theology and Ministry mission requires that each graduate achieve particular competencies. These include the ability to reflect theologically upon one’s pastoral actions and to act out of a theological vision. These competencies also include the scholarship, skill and knowledge needed for effective pastoral work.
Graduates are actively sought and pursue multiple career options. Students and alumni are church pastors; direct retreats; serve as pastoral associated, youth minister, chaplains and liturgical leaders; direct educational programs and pursue a wide variety of other social service and spiritual ministries.
Recent alumni are serving as chaplain for Children’s Hospital and Medical Center, director of religious education at St. James Cathedral, bereavement coordinator for Good Samaritan Hospice in Puyallup and minister of spiritual direction for University Congregational Church in Seattle. Whatever paths they pursue, their lives and capacity to serve are immeasurably richer because of their time spent in the School of Theology and Ministry.
