Preparing Educational Leaders

The purpose of the College of Education is

"to prepare ethical and reflective professionals for quality service in diverse communities."

Established in 1935, the College of Education has a long and successful history of preparing outstanding teachers, counselors and administrators for elementary, secondary, and higher education. Alumni include college presidents, vice presidents and deans, superintendents and principals, leaders in the community, classrooms, counseling centers, business and non-profit organizations.

There are many benefits to enrolling in the degree or certificate programs:

Evening courses in most programs for working professionals

Small class size, with a maximum of 25 students per class

Experience in working with diverse populations

A multidisciplinary approach to enhance learning

Focus on service learning and advocacy for social justice
