About Your Campus Card

Your Seattle University Campus Card is a versatile student photo ID card. It serves as a library card, electronic door key, elevator key, dining card and campus debit account card. It eliminates the need to carry multiple keys or cash while on campus. It allows you access to university centers, activities, elections and athletic events.

Once you are registered as a matriculated student, you will receive your Campus Card in person at the Campus Card Office that is located in the Engineering Building, Room 306-B. You must bring a valid driver's license, state ID or a passport and your SU student ID number. The card is valid throughout your Seattle University career.

Your Campus Card has two accounts. The debit (or miscellaneous) account allows you, to the extent that funds are available in this account on your card, to pay for the following at various locations on campus:

  • Books and supplies from the Seattle University Bookstore,
  • Parking permits and bus passes,
  • Activities and club tickets at the Campus Assistance Center (CAC),
  • Leisure activity classes and equipment at the Connolly Center
  • Copying, stamps and postage for packages at Reprographics,
  • Vending machine snacks and beverages, and
  • Laundry

The food account permits you to purchase, to the extent that funds are available in this account on your card, food in various campus locations: the Cherry Street Market, the Hawk's Nest Bistro, the Bottom Line and the Sidebar.

If you lose your Campus Card during the day, report the loss immediately to the Campus Card Office. After business hours report the card lost or stolen to Public Safety Office, which will provide you with a temporary card. Public Safety is located on the first floor in the University Services Building and is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Next, contact the Campus Card Office. A replacement card can be requested in the Campus Card Office for a $15 fee.

The Campus Card Office is located in Room 306-B of the Engineering Building and is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Adding Funds to Your Campus Card

You and/or your parents can arrange to have funds put on your campus card accounts in several ways:

  • When you sign up for a meal plan the cost for the plan is added to and paid for through your quarterly invoice from Student Financial Services and the dollar value of the plan you choose is available on your Campus Card.
  • The Campus Card Office accepts checks or cash should you wish to add more dollars to either the food or miscellaneous accounts on your card.
  • Cash-only deposits are accepted at two on-campus Value Transfer Stations (VTS). One is located by the Bookstore in the University Services Building and the other is on the first floor of the Student Center.
  • You can also add funds to your Campus Card through the Student Financial Services Office in one of two ways:

  1. To transfer a standard amount to your Campus Card each term, complete an "Authorization to Deposit Funds to Campus Card" form and submit it to Student Financial Services, allowing a minimum of two weeks for processing. The amount you authorize will be billed to your student account and, if not covered by a credit balance on your student account after all other charges are paid, payment will be due 14 days from the date the charge is added to your student account.
  2. You or your parents can call Student Financial Services to request that funds be added to either of the accounts on your Campus Card. The amount added will be billed to your student account and is due within 14 days of the day the addition is made.
