Overview
The SUBC is a 5-node Beowulf Cluster running on AMD Athlon XP 1800+ CPUs, 512MB DDR-RAM per machine, and a 100-base-T network. All nodes run Red Hat Linux 7.1, with a 2.4.2-2 kernel, and support the MPI standard using LAM-MPI. It was built for Physics research in the Spring and Summer of 2002, funded by a grant from the Society of Physics Students along with support from the Seattle University Physics Department.
