Members of our departmental faculty are active in research in the following areas:

• Deep-Earth geophysics, shock wave physics, optical physics (Boness)
• 2-Dimensional Fluids, turbulance (Fontana)
• Interpretation of quantum mechanics, quantum cosmology (Guy)
• Stellar astrophysics, globular clusters (Hughes Clark)
• Nonlinear dynamics, Hamiltonian chaos, adiabatic dynamical systems (Morgan)

Our Physics majors are also involved with faculty research, and with summer research experiences at NSF-funded university, national lab, and corporate programs.
