FACULTY POSITIONS
The Mathematics Department at Seattle University invites applications
for two full-time instructor positions beginning September 2013. These
positions are not on the tenure track, but successful candidates will be
offered renewable multi-year contracts. Instructors are expected to teach a
variety of undergraduate courses and provide departmental service, which may
include advising. A Ph.D. in mathematics or closely related discipline, promise
of teaching excellence, and a commitment to undergraduate education are
essential.
Seattle University, founded in 1891, is a Jesuit Catholic university
located on 48 acres on Seattle’s Capitol Hill. More than 7,500 students are
enrolled in undergraduate and graduate programs within eight schools. U.S. News

The Mathematics Department at Seattle University successfully hired three new tenure track faculty members who arrived for the fall quarter of 2012-2013. We do not anticipate hiring any tenure track faculty members to start in the 2013-2014 academic year.
