E4411B / L1500A ESA-L Series Spectrum Analyzers

Spectrum Analyzer Screen Capture using software PrintCapture
Be sure the black or beige 9 pin RS232 serial cable is connected to the instrument and PC.

1. Start the program PrintCapture

2. Select Restore Configuration to load the standard configuration file.
(This is only necessary on first time use)

3. Select Spectrum Analyzer from the dropdown menu.

4. Select the Print button on the spectrum analyzer to capture the screen.
The PrintCapture program should begin to capture the screen from the spectrum analyzer.
DONE!

Be sure the black or beige 9 pin RS232 serial cable is connected to the instrument and PC.

Model E4411B Baud Rate = 9600

Default Baud Rate = 9600

Select the System button to access the printer configuration menu.
Configure the options as followed
Select Printer> = DeskJet 310
Port = Serial
Baud Rate = 115200
(If you need to change the Baud Rate, use the Up/Down arrow buttons to change)

PLEASE NOTE: ONLY MODEL E4411B CAN CAPTURE SCREEN DATA TO THE PC. MODEL L1500A IS NOT SUPPORTED.
a) Be sure the black or beige 9 pin RS232 cable is connected to the instrument and PC.

b) To run BenchLink see the start menu example below
.
c) When run for the first time Select button Yes to establish connection to the instrument.

d) Communication Setup

e) To capture the spectrum analyzer's screen Select Image and New from the menu.

f) Select OK to begin capture

If you select Option you can change the following, typically not required.

You can use the Edit menu to copy the image to the clipboard or use the File menu to save.
