Eisenhower Fellowships Engage Emerging Leaders: 1997 Alumnus Mohammed AL-JASSER.
As a General Manager for Saudi Telecom Company, Mohammed AL-JASSER develops and manages relationships with top enterprise accounts.
He was recently granted an Eisenhower Fellowship, a program that engages emerging leaders from around the world to enhance their professional capabilities, broaden their contacts, deepen their perspectives, and unite them in a diverse, global community –- a network where dialogue, understanding, and collaboration lead to a more prosperous, just, and peaceful world. Eisenhower Fellowships bring up to 25 Fellows to the United States from as many countries each spring, and up to 20 Fellows in a regional or common interest program each fall. Fellows are chosen for their leadership achievements and potential to make an impact in the future. They are in the U.S. for approximately two months and follow individualized programs that take them to 8 to 10 cities for 50 to 70 meetings with leaders in their fields. Mohammed plans on devoting his fellowship to gaining insights in support of his efforts to harness potential business growth in Saudi Telecom’s market as a means to improve diversification within the Saudi Arabian economy and increase the prosperity of Saudi citizens. He will focus on Information and communication technologies (ICT) sector development. This April, during his fellowship, Mr. Al-Jasser made a return visit to Seattle University, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering in 1997. He also expects to receive an MBA from the University of Leicester this year. He will continue his fellowship meetings with other leading experts in order to discuss business strategy, market development, research and innovation, and the financing of the ICT industry.
