Department of Diagnostic Ultrasound       

 

             About the Department

 The diagnostic ultrasound program prepares students for the profession of diagnostic

 medical sonography. Founded on a concentration in basic sciences, the program

 affords simultaneous opportunities for receiving a liberal arts education, as well as

 didactic and practical exposure to a range of ultrasound specialties. This approach

 leads not only to competence in the practice of sonography, but also to the                                                                                                                

 development of future leaders in the field.

 The program is Accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Programs,

 the curriculum content is based on the Standards and Guidelines set forth by (CAAHEP) and

 the Joint Review Committee on Education in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (JRCDMS).

 Orientation Sessions

 The Diagnostic Medical Sonography program requires all applicants

 attend an information session. This is an opportunity to pick up program and application information.

 All information sessions will be held in Chardin Hall.

 Program faculty and staff will be on hand to provide program details and answer questions
