Nicaraguan Coffee Farmer

This project serves some 2,000 small-holder farmers in the Matagalpa/ Jinotega region of Nicaragua, with farms on the order of 2 – 6 acres, who produce their own coffee through the processes of growing, harvesting, pulping, fermenting, washing and drying. Unfortunately, these farmers lack the critical resources which would enable them to assess and control processing for improvement of their coffee quality and consistency. Our initial project will focus on a pilot leadership group of small-holder farmers and the technical staff of the NGO serving them (ADDAC).
