Katherine Kuder received her B.S. in Civil Engineering from Gonzaga University in 2000. She did her graduate work at Northwestern University where she earned a M.S. (2002) and Ph.D. (2005) in Civil and Environmental Engineering. Katherine joined the faculty at Seattle University in 2005.

Her research interests include the material characterization and optimization of cement-based materials, in both the fresh and hardened states, and the development of newly-engineered cement-based composites that can be tailored for specific applications.
