TWO CEE SENIOR DESIGN PROJECTS EARN 2012 NCEES ENGINEERING AWARDS
Two 2010-2011 senior design projects each received a $7,500 National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES) Engineering Award that encourages collaboration between students and licensed professional engineers. It is notable that no other university has ever won two NCEES awards in a single year, and yet our Civil and Environmental Engineering program achieved this same feat just last year!
The two SU projects honored with 2012 NCEES awards were "Design of an Orphanage, Learning and Community Center in Ethiopia" and "Historic Dam Guard Rail and Vehicle Barrier Retrofit for Public Safety." Click here to view the profiles of the winning submissions.
