SU Repeats at ITE

CEE juniors Charlie Wence and Huy Le won the 2008 Washington State Institute for Transportation Engineers annual student competition.Charlie and Huy presented their solution to a traffic calming project in the City of Bothell and edged out three other teams from UW. In addition to the $500 team prize, Charlie was awarded the $1000 ITE undergraduate scholarship for his senior year. This is the second consecutive year that SU has won the competition. Last year, Monica Joyce (BSCE '07) and Nikki Wheeler (BSCE '07) took home first prize while Charlie and Matt Marineau (BSCE '08) were runners-up. Charlie and Huy were mentored by Dr. Phillip Thompson and Robert Wagar from Northwest Engineers, LLC.
