Now accepting applications for Student Research Fellowships for Summer 2013

Applications are being accepted now for Summer Research Fellowship opportunities working with Seattle University Biology Department. Please note these Fellowships are for current Seattle University students only. For details see the "Research Fellowships" tab.

The Biology Department is excited to announce two new academic programs beginning in Academic Year 2011-12:

Bachelor of Science in Cell and Molecular Biology

The degree in Cell and Molecular Biology prepares students through intensive laboratory training in modern scientific methods for graduate education in biology and employment in bio-tech research. It is expected that this degree will prepare students who plan to apply to medical school, veterinary school, or education in another health-related field.

Bachelor of Science in Marine and Conservation Biology

The degree in Marine and Conservation Biology incorporates two intensive field experiences including a study abroad component, and exposes students to both temperate and tropical ecosystems. This degree will prepare students for graduate school in biology, the private sector, or government employment at the local, state, or federal levels.

For details on these degrees please select "Degrees and Courses" on the lefthand side of this page. Please note:  New courses that are described as part of these degree programs will not be offered until either the 2012-2013 or 2013-2014 school year.
