Offers scholarships to students from disadvantaged backgrounds committed to careers in biomedical, behavioral, and social science health-related research
Postbaccalaureate Intramural Research Training Award
*Alumni eligible; must have graduated within last 2 years
Provides recent college graduates planning to apply to graduate or professional (medical/dental/pharmacy) school opportunity to spend one or two years performing full-time research at the NIH
M.D./M.P.H. Dual Degree
Truman Scholarship
Gives up to $30,000 and professional development for current juniors to pursue graduate study in public service
McKelvie
Gives up to $2,000 to undergraduate and graduate students pursuing careers in public service
M.D./Ph.D. Dual Degree
Goldwater
Gives up to $7,500 to pursue careers in science, math, &engineering
National Science Foundation (NSF) Graduate Research Fellowship

Cover 3 years of graduate study for early graduate students leading to research-based master's or doctoral degrees in science, math, engineering &technology
Women
American Medical Women's Association Scholarships
Awards four $1000 scholarships to women currently enrolled in medical school
Students Who are Immigrants or First-Generation Americans
Soros Fellowship for New Americans
*Alumni Eligible: Age 30 and under
Gives $20,000 plus 1/2 of tuition for New Americans pursuing graduate study
Students who Are Members of Underrepresented Minorities
National Medical Fellowships
*Must have been accepted to medical school
Offered primarily to first- and second-year medical students on the basis of financial need
Sherry R. Arnstein Minority Student Scholarship
*Must have been accepted to medical school
Awarded to two underrepresented minority students pursuing D.O. degrees, one newly accepted student and one continuing student
Indian Health Service Scholarship Program
Offers pre-graduate and health professional program scholarships to American Indian and Alaska Native students
Athletes
NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship
Gives $7,500 for student-athletes in their final year of intercollegiate athletics towards postgraduate education
