Positivity sparks success in everything we do. High energy and fun is how I bring this positivity to fitness. While group fitness was my start, I thrive working one on one with individuals to reach specific goals. It is never too late to join the party and I enjoy sharing my passion for health and wellness with people looking to start a new exercise program or reach a new level of athletic performance. I am always looking for new challenges and to try something new, so I like to introduce variety into my sessions. My specialties include endurance training, sport specific training, and weight loss.

My passion for personal training comes from finding my own strength in the past few years and doing things I never thought were possible! I believe that in order to work towards a healthy body, one must also work on their heart and mind. I want to help make that special connection. I love digging deep and helping people find the drive within themselves that helps push them to the next level. I’m here to help you get there. Our sessions will be fine tuned to what movements and needs you have at that moment, whether that be basic movement patterns, cardio improvements, or overall strength. No matter where you are on your fitness journey, I can help you figure out how to get to the next level.

I'm a licensed personal trainer with a background in nutrition and wellness cooking. My own struggle with weight and health for much of my life inspired me to pursue a degree in nutrition and attend culinary school focusing in a plant-based diet and healing modalities. Along the way, I realized health and wellness come from more than what you eat - what you do with your body is just as important as what you put into it. I want my energy and contagious passion for fitness to inspire you to reach your goals and have fun doing it!

Emily is a California native who enjoys cooking, traveling, dancing and a hearty laugh! She has been practicing Yoga and Pilates since 2008, and has been teaching Yoga since 2013 upon graduating from SU. Her own practice and studies in Psychology, Philosophy, and Women and Gender Studies deepened her understanding of individual uniqueness, and the relationship between mindful movement and overall health and well-being. She received her YogaFit certification in 2013, and completed her Registered Yoga Teacher training (RYT-200) in 2014. After years of focus on Yoga, three low-back injuries throughout 2014 and early 2015 changed her approach to fitness and health. She returned to Pilates and began Cycling to achieve greater balance in her fitness life in a safe, effective way. "A healthy body is a balanced body"; nourish yourself with nutritious foods, exercise with variety to keep your body guessing, and always make time for rest! Emily's classes work towards using the core to support all movement, to engage the breath, and to use the freedom of movement to better align our posture, and better align our lives!
