Prospective Volunteers

  • PWOB’s mission is to empower students to serve and lead sustainable service projects that help people in need, so we consider it of the utmost importance to recruit students who are passionate, hard working, and dedicated to the Seattle University vision of creating a more just and humane world.

    Belize 2012 Group

Students who participate in PWOB trips begin their work long before they reach their project’s location. All students are required to volunteer at both fundraising events and/or with PWOB’s local service projects. PWOB attempts to reduce the cover students’ costs for service trips as much as possible, and in turn students are expected to give their all in preparation for the trip.

All Seattle University students are eligible to participate in a PWOB service trip. Each project will have a set scholarship amount available that will be apportioned to students based on their hours volunteering toward fundraising or local service projects. The final allocations are calculated by the specific project leader(s).
