Engineering and Computer Science

Our talented students and faculty can tackle projects in multiple areas of engineering including:

  • Electrical and Computer Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Civil and Environmental Engineering
  • Computer Science
  • Masters level work in Software Engineering

Students are responsible for team organization, scheduling, budgeting, design, construction, project management, documentation, and presentation of their results. Engineering projects span the entire school year from September through June to allow students to truly connect with the entire engineering project management experience. Sponsors get first look at potential future employees while working on these projects. The engineering students present their final projects to peers, faculty, and corporate partners during the annual Projects Day in late May or early June.


Albers School of Business and Economics

International Business

The Global Business Education for Global Entrepreneurs program was established to promote and facilitate strategic partnerships between Pacific Northwest businesses and the Albers School of Business. We make our extensive research, informational, analytical and educational resources available to firms entering or engaged in the global marketplace to enhance their competitiveness and profitability.

EDGE projects are professional, thorough and effective. Student teams are paired with your company to undertake projects aimed at assisting in expanding the international activities, sales and profits of participating companies. These projects are supervised by faculty and typically span one educational quarter. Services available include:

  • Market analysis
  • Plans formulation
  • Strategies development
  • Opportunities and challenges evaluation
  • Distribution channels establishment
  • Agents/distributors identification
  • Frameworks establishment for advertising, pricing, payments and financing programs


New Venture

The New Ventures Consulting program engages MBA students with client companies. New Venture student teams work, on a project basis, with companies to help them develop strategic solutions confronting their business and can help a company grow. A new venture is defined as: an early stage company, a new venture within a large company, or a technology transfer from the University. Projects range in nature from marketing to finance to business plan development. Example projects include:

  • Market assessment and sizing
  • Competitive analysis
  • Market introduction: from pilot to scale
