Global Education at SU

Global Education

At Seattle University, global education is more than a theory or something that works in isolation—it touches every school, from the College of Nursing to the School of Theology and Ministry, and from our courses and programs rooted in faith and the arts, to sciences, education, humanities, engineering and beyond.

Educating our students to be global citizens—a mission that carries forth and continue on with our alumni—is a defining characteristic of SU. It's also vital to meeting our objectives of providing a high-quality education that equips students with the knowledge and skills to be leaders in their chosen professions. The university fosters an environment that is culturally rich with experiences and opportunities for intellectual awakening.

Through immersion programs and education abroad offerings, students expand the breadth and real-world applications of their chosen majors in a host country where they learn about culture and language through exploration and interaction.

Exploring in depth different cultures, languages, customs and social mores fits with the university's commitment to educate the whole person and for students and alumni to discover their place in the world.
