Costco Scholars Program
In Fall of 2000, Costco joined forces with Seattle University and the University of Washington to create scholarships for underrepresented minority students. The Costco Scholarship Fund provides financial assistance to high-achieving students who wish to attend SU or UW. The fund was created by the generous contributions of many individuals and organizations through an annual fundraising event sponsored by chief executives of Costco Wholesale. The Costco Scholarship Fund is administered by the College Success Foundation, a tax exempt 501(c)(3) organization.
For general information regarding the Costco Scholarship Fund, contact the College Success Foundation at (425) 416-2035 or email info@costcoscholarshipfund.org.

The scholarship is renewable each year, for four years, provided the student maintains satisfactory academic progress. The student must complete 36 credits per academic year with a GPA of 2.0 or higher.
Application Process
Students are considered for the Costco scholarship as part of the normal admissions and financial aid process at each of the two universities. The Undergraduate Application for Admissions and the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) must be completed for consideration. Scholarship awards range from $2,500 - $14,500 and are based on financial need.

Costco Scholars Program
As recipients of the Costco Scholarship, students will become part of a "Costco Scholars Community." Students will be provided with opportunities to bond with other Costco Scholars, fostering a community among scholarship recipients and with the campus community, as well as creating a deeper connection between students, staff, and faculty.
Students will be presented with various quality programs and services offered through the Office of Multicultural Affairs (OMA) each academic quarter, all of which support the academic, personal/social, and cultural success of Costco Scholars. Students will also receive financial and academic support of the SU community, both among faculty and administration.
