The Privilege Race: A Regional Conference Exploring Experience With Race and Gender is the second annual regional undergraduate student diversity conference hosted by Seattle University.  Join students from two- and four-year colleges and universities in the Puget Sound area for a two-day conference focused on creating partnerships and collaborations, sharing ideas and challenges, and building community among our fellow institutions. Students will gather on the Seattle University campus to discuss the issues of knowledge, skills and awareness as they relate to many of the critical diversity challenges that we face, with a particular focus on experiences with race and gender this year.

Conference Format

The conference will be a two day experience with workshops, community leaders, and inspirational keynote speakers. It will also include a session where each school can present successful activism strategies and programs occurring on their campus allowing students to connect across the Puget Sound.  The conference will have a Soup With Substance where students will interact with Seattle activists for race and gender equity to hear how about their work and progress in the community towards this cause.
