Computer Labs Description
Seattle University has sophisticated central instructional computing facilities which include state-of-the-art computers connected over a network to our labs and offices. Our microcomputer labs contain more than 200 personal computer systems, interconnected via a high-speed, Ethernet network. They offer a wide array of software including the latest packages for word processing, desktop publishing, and other applications. A valid SU ID and Network logon/password is required to use/access any of the computer labs.
Student Labs
Engineering Open Student Lab (ENGR 310) (PC and MAC)
The Engineering Open Student Lab is located in room 310 of the Engineering Building. It is equipped with 60 Dell OptiPlex GX520 computers (57 open access stations, one wheelchair-accessible station, one graphics station with scanner, and one lab monitor station), 10 Apple iMac computers with dual core Intel processors (9 open access stations, one wheelchair-accessible station), and 2 HP 9050 Laser printers. All computers have student network access (including file and print server), email, and the Internet.
Pigott Open Student Lab (PIGT 206) (PC)
This open student lab on the second floor of the Pigott Building is equipped with 28 Dell OptiPlex GX520 computers, and one HP 9050 LaserJet printer, all connected to our student network (including file and print server), email, and the Internet.

Teaching Labs
Engineering Teaching Lab (ENG 308) (PC)
This Engineering Teaching Lab (located directly across from the Engineering Open Student Lab) is equipped with 25 Dell OptiPlex GX520 computers for student use, plus one Dell GX520 dedicated instructor's station connected to a video projector (video projector also displays output from local VHS VCR; display can be selected from instructor's station). All computers are connected to an Ethernet network with an HP LaserJet 8100 printer, and have access to our student network (including file and print server), email, and the Internet. This lab is used exclusively for computer-based classroom instruction.
Pigott Teaching Lab (PIGT 207) (PC)
This teaching lab on the second floor of the Pigott Building is equipped with 34 Dell OptiPlexGX520 computers for student use, one Dell GX520 instructor's station connected to twin video projectors for classroom presentations, and one HP 8150 LaserJet printer. The video projectors can also display output from a local VHS VCR and document (video) camera. All computers are connected to our student network (including file and print server), email, and the Internet.
Administration 224 Macintosh Teaching Lab
(ADMIN 224) (MAC)
The Administration 224 Teaching lab is equipped with 24 Apple iMac computers with dual core Intel processors, one Apple iMac computer at the instructor's station connected to an LCD video projector, and one HP 8100 LaserJet Printer. The video projector can display either the instructor's desktop or an attached VHS VCR.

Casey Faculty and Staff Lab (Casey 3rd Floor) (PC and MAC)
Located in the Gaffney Room on the third floor of the Casey Building, this Faculty/Staff Lab is equipped with one Apple iMac with dual core Intel processors, and two Dell Optiplex GX280 computers.
OIT Computer Training Lab (ENG 302B) (PC and MAC)
This lab contains 9 Dell OptiPlex GX520 computers and one Apple iMac with dual core Intel processor. All computers are connected to our central academic/administrative computers with local HP LaserJet printing capabilities. This lab is used only for training purposes, as scheduled by the OIT Computer Training coordinator. For more information email Computer Training
Instructional Design Center Faculty Lab (ENGR 313) (PC and MAC)
This lab has 2 Dell OptiPlex GX520 computers and 4 iMac computers with dual core Intel processors. This lab has two Epson flatbed scanners, one Minolta Slide Scanner, video and audio editing capabilities with two video cameras available for checkout.
