OIT Telecommunications provides conference phones and conference bridging services.  Conference lines and phone can be setup in most locations on campus and allow you to manually add up to eight parties to a conference call.  Our conference bridge service provides you with a toll free number and a unique meeting ID for the participants to call in and join your conference call.

Requesting a Conference Call

To request a conference call, contact the OIT Help Desk at x5571 or helpdesk@seattleu.edu and provide the following information about the event.

  • Date
  • Start time
  • End time
  • Location
  • If you expect to make any long distance calls, please provide a budget number for billing.

We prefer 48 hours notice to allow us time to plan for the event.  Requests made inside of that time frame should be submitted by phone, so they can be quickly entered into the system.

Requesting a Conference Bridge Account

To request a conference bridge account contact the OIT Help Desk at x5571 or helpdesk@seattleu.edu and provide the following information.

  • Name of the person using the account
  • Their email address
  • Their phone number
  • The budget number for billing calls

Please allow 48 hours to setup the account.  After the account is created, you will receive an email with all of the information about your new account.

Browser/certificate warnings


Recent improvements to website security may generate warnings on the browser(s) you use to visit your favorite websites. Websites around the world (and at SU) are replacing older "SHA-1" certificates with newer, stronger "SHA-2" certificates. While we update SU websites, you will want to keep your internet browser up-to-date with the latest patches.

Upcoming Maintenance

October maintenance

OIT will perform Planned Systems Maintenance on Friday October 17th from 6pm - midnight.

Services (wired & wireless access) and applications (Email, SUOnline, Canvas LMS etc.) will be intermittently unavailable during maintenance. 

Everything should be working after maintenance is complete; if it's not, we will let you know vie email & this website.
