Network Support
The Network Services team manages the wired and wireless network access among the campus buildings, specific offsite locations, and the Internet. Remote access to campus-based systems via the Internet is also supported through the Virtual Private Network (VPN) system.
Wireless
Chardin Hall has wireless access throughout all floors including the student rooms. All other Residence Halls have limited wireless coverage in common areas and no wireless coverage in student rooms.
Most of the remaining campus buildings have ample 802.11g wireless coverage. The Bellevue and James Tower locations also provide wireless access. As of July 2009 all newly constructed buildings are implementing 802.11n wireless access throughout most if not all the new rooms.
