The main entrance to Swedish Medical Center is on Jefferson Street at 17th Ave. From the main entrance, turn right past the coffee shop to enter the James Tower Medical Building. There is a pay parking garage on 16th Ave. between Cherry and Jefferson Streets. From the garage, take the sky bridge into the hospital and continue east through the complex passing the main entrance and the coffee shop. Enter James Tower Medical Building and take the elevators to the 4th floor. There is also metered and non-metered parking on the streets around the hospital.
From I-5
Take the James Street. exit off I-5 (coming from the north, exit 165; coming from the south, exit 164A). Turn east on James Street and continue past Broadway (James Street turns into East Cherry Street). Turn right onto 16th Avenue for the garage entrance.
From I-90
Take the Rainier Avenue North exit off I-90 (3B) and merge onto Rainier Avenue South (you will be heading northbound). Follow Rainier Avenue South (.5 miles) to the intersection of Rainier Avenue South and Boren Avenue South. Turn slightly left onto Boren Avenue South and follow to Broadway. Turn right onto Broadway and then right onto James Street. Follow James Street, which will turn into East Cherry Street, to 16th Avenue and turn right for the garage entrance.
From Highway 520
Take 520 westbound to I-5 south. Take the James Street exit off I-5 (exit 165a). Turn left on James Street and drive up the hill and continue past Broadway (James Street turns into East Cherry Street). Turn right onto 16th Avenue for the garage entrance.
