The BSN Summer 2009 cohort celebrated the completion of their studies at SU with a Pinning Ceremony held last Saturday, July 15, in Campion Ballroom. This ceremony is a tradition in nursing and commemorates the passage into the nursing profession with a nursing pin, which represents the graduate's college. College of Nursing graduate, Lester Craven, is pictured above celebrating with his children after receiving his pin. In addition to receiving pins, several awards were also presented at the ceremony, including: Stephen Mitchell, Sister Mary Ruth Niehoff Alisha Wilkes, BSN Service Award Jennifer Strother, BSN Spirit Award Bethany Stumpf, BSN Inspirational Life Rachel Rodriquez, Outstanding Sigma Theta Tau Scholar and Anita Jablonski was named “Most Inspirational Faculty” Best wishes to all the 2009 BSN graduates as you pursue your careers in nursing!
