Congratulations to our colleague, Jennifer Fricas, MPH, on being awarded the Ping Fellowship from the Council on International Educational Exchange (CIEE).
This Fellowship allows Jennifer to attend one of their International Faculty Development Seminars this June. She plans to attend the seminar Revolution and Neoliberal Reform in Nicaragua. CIEE’s Ping Fellowships are awarded to educators who intend to use the IFDS experience to increase international awareness on their home campus. Jennifer’s plan includes re-establishing the College of Nursing’s relationship with our partners in Nicaragua for future study abroad, as well as exploring the development of a new elective examining community health using a social ecology framework, with Nicaragua as a case study.
