As one of the most prestigious honors in nursing, Fellows of the Academy are nominated and selected based on their strong leadership skills and commitment to the profession.
Dr. DeSocio is currently Associate Dean and will assume the Interim Dean position full-time for the College of Nursing in late June. She is Director of the Doctor of Nursing Practice program and heads the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner track for the college. Dr. DeSocio is currently co-principal investigator for a two-year grant from the Department of Defense to enhance nursing education that addresses the mental health needs of military service members, veterans and their families affected by Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI).
Dr. Wojnar is an associate professor and chair of the Department of Maternal/Child and Family Nursing, and as an honored Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) Executive Nurse Fellow, focuses her research on developing a Center of Health Advocacy for Vulnerable and Underserved Populations that will help advance health care through research, teaching and clinical partnerships.
