Congratulations to
Christie Reevis-Steele (APNI 2011) and
Emily Johnson,
Kristin Mellein and
Andrea Thompson (APNI 2012) on their award of the National Health Service Corp. (NHSC) scholarships.
The U.S. Department of Health & Human Services’ NHSC Program awards scholarships each year to students pursuing primary care professions, including nurse practitioner and certified nurse-midwife. In return, upon graduation, students commit to providing health care to communities in need.
More kudos go out to APNI 2012 students,
Allison Conti,
Dan Kahn,
Annie Leone, and
Annelise Crosswhite (RN, MSNc) for being 2012 Nursing Scholarship Program (NSP) recipients.
The NSP is a selective program of the U.S. Government, which helps alleviate the shortage of nurses currently experienced by certain types of health care facilities. The scholarships help students complete their training, and upon graduation the newly minted nurses will work at facilities in critical need.
