Brandon Ibarra Recieves Barbara Jordan Health Policy Scholar Award

Serving an Aging Population

Jean Tang is at the forefront of national effort to improve elder care. As our nation's healthcare system stretches to serve a growing population of older adults, the demand is rising for nurse educators specializing in geriatric care. Associate Professor of Nursing Jean Tang is helping to meet this need as one of just seven scholars who are serving as 2011-2013 Claire M. Fagin Fellows.
Palazzo Awarded NFLA Fellowship

Steven J. Palazzo, PhD, MN, RN, was awarded a Nurse Faculty Leadership Academy (NFLA) fellowship. The fellowship, developed by Sigma Theta Tau International in partnership with the Elsevier Foundation, provides an excellent leadership development program for nursing faculty.
Katherine Camacho Carr installed as Bushman Chair

Katherine Camacho Carr was installed this month as the N. Jean Bushman Chair in Nursing. Carr delivered a distinguished lecture titled “Caring for Women and Children: A Matter of Social Justice.”
