About the Clinical Performance Lab
“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has.” Margaret Mead
Welcome to the Clinical Performance Lab of Seattle University College of Nursing. We are proud of our lab and the services we provide. Due to a five million dollar donation from Jim Sinegal (CEO of Costco) and Janet Sinegal we were able to realize our dream of a 20,000 square foot lab in the James Tower building that simulates hospital and clinical environments. The lab opened in the fall of 2005 and allows the College of Nursing to address the nursing shortage by admitting 100 additional students over a 5-year period. We are mission driven and work collaboratively to design, develop, and deliver systems that support the College of Nursing and our external stakeholders.
Our mission is to collaboratively create and maintain a culture of respect in order to provide a high-quality teaching and learning environment for our faculty and nursing students. To achieve our mission, we are committed to:
- Supporting faculty to create an ideal teaching experience
- Supporting students to create an ideal learning experience
- Delivering supplies, equipment, and resources to the point of teaching with a high degree of reliability
- Being open and receptive to constructive feedback shared in a respectful way
- Being innovative, creative, and resourceful
We invite you to schedule an appointment (206-296-2394) for a tour of our lab so we can share our facility with you and discuss possible partnerships for the sustainability of our lab and nursing students.
