Follow graduate nursing student, Mary Margaret Thomas, in New Orleans as she completes her scholarly project focused on public health issues related to environmental toxic exposures due to the BP oil spill.
Mary is pursuing her master's degree in Advanced Community/Public Health Nursing. This specialty is designed to improve the health of communities and populations at risk by providing nurses with knowledge and skills in community and public health nursing, health promotion and illness prevention, program development, research, and consultation.
