Welcome
Week September 19-26, 2009
Summer Orientation started your transition to Seattle University
and Welcome Week will continue to help you get prepared for life as
an SU student with new and different activities. All first year students
are expected to attend Welcome Week programs.
Students attending a New Student Immersion program will move into
their residence halls on September 16th. Make sure to check your Seattle
U email account for detailed information. If you are not attending
a New Student Immersion, you will move into your residence hall room
on Saturday, September 19. Our Welcome Week events will begin that
day. Commuter students and families will be invited to campus in the
early afternoon to join in the activities. The day includes an address
from our president, Fr. Stephen Sundborg, S.J. and the President's
Picnic for New Students and Families in the evening.
The week will be full of fun and informational sessions. You'll laugh
at the OA Cabaret, be formally introduced as the Class of 2013, discuss
our common reading with faculty, check out the city, hear from Will
Keim (a SU orientation favorite!), make lots of friends, participate
in a service project, dance the night away and much, much more.
More detailed information about move-in
and Welcome Week is included in this Guide. We look forward to welcoming
you to your new home. If you have questions, feel free to contact
us in the New Student and Family Programs Office at (206) 296-2525
or email newstudent@seattleu.edu.
