A Message for Parents from Dr. Jacob Diaz, Vice President of Student Development
On behalf of the university I extend a special welcome to you, SU Parents!
We are delighted to have your student here at Seattle University,
and welcome you as important members of our community. College is a
critical time of transition for your student. During their
undergraduate years, students experience tremendous academic growth,
become passionate about their discipline, and learn a great deal about
themselves through their experiences both in and out of class. We hope
that every student will take full advantage of the exceptional
education Seattle University offers.
Whether you're the parent of an undergraduate or graduate student,
on-campus resident or commuter, or you're an interested family member,
your involvement in the Seattle University community is critical to the
overall success of the University and to the quality education of your
student. We applaud your participation and look forward to getting to
know you!
This website provides information about your role—everything from
transition issues, to resources on campus, to where to stay when you
visit campus, and other information, which we feel is helpful for
students transitioning into the Seattle University community. Don't
hesitate to contact us if we can be of further assistance to you or
your student.
Welcome to Seattle University!
Jacob L. Diaz, Ed.D.
Vice President for Student Development
