Highly Respected Brand

SU is recognized as a top brand in Washington state
By Mike Thee
Seattle University is number two among colleges and universities on the Puget Sound Business Journal’s list of “Washington’s Most Respected Brands.” Tied for second with Washington State University, SU is the highest ranked independent institution in the state.

The ranking is based on a survey in which more than 1,000 Business Journal readers voted for top brands in a number of categories, including colleges and universities. Results of the survey, which was conducted in collaboration with public relations firm GreenRubino, were announced this week as part of the publication’s first-ever “Battle of the Brands.”

For Seattle University, the ranking is further evidence of its growing stature. The Fiske Guide to Colleges announced last week that SU is a “Best Buy School” in its 2012 edition, one of just 25 independent colleges and universities and 49 total institutions, nationally, to make the list.
