Congratulations and welcome to Seattle University!
This checklist has been created to guide
your preparation for winter quarter and will show you the various steps
you must complete to prepare for your first quarter at Seattle
University. You will be required to read important information, provide
further documentation, and contact other offices on campus. If you have
questions on any particular step, please use the contact information
provided for that item.
Please Note: Seattle University will be closed December 23rd, 2013 through January 2nd 2014. It is important you complete the checklist prior to the university closure
Submit copies of the required vaccines to the Student Health Center. The
required vaccines are the Measles, Mumps, and Rubella (MMR) series,
Hepatitis B (Hep B) series and a current Tetanus (Td / Tdap) in the last

2. On campus housing

Freshman do not register themselves for their first quarter at SU. This
is done by New Student Registration. Please contact the department at email@example.com.
In your email, please include your name, student ID number, SAT/ACT and
AP exam scores, plus any credits you may be transferring in to SU.
Please Note: Seattle University will be closed December 23rd, 2013 through January 2nd 2014. It is important you contact New Student Registration prior to the university closure.
6. Health Insurance
Seattle University requires all full-time (enrolled in 12 or more
credits) undergraduates to have health insurance. Seattle University
contracts the Student Health Insurance Plan through Wells Fargo
Insurance Services. Please note, if you have your own health insurance
plan with comparable coverage and would like to remove the health
insurance charge from your account, you MUST successfully submit an

8. Financial Planning
Please visit our Student Financial Services website
and select "Money Mojo Crash Course" in the left menu bar for budgeting
and financial planning information. For additional financial questions
and assistance contact Student Financial Services.
9. Financial Aid
If you plan to complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student
Aid) and apply for financial aid (including student loans), please
visit www.fafsa.gov . If you have already received a financial aid award letter, please visit http://www.seattleu.edu/finaid_kit for more information.

10. Complete the Meningitis Notification, Pay Your Bill, and Address Update
Select "Log In" and enter your Seattle University user name and
password, then select "Students" at the top of the main menu. Once you
have accessed the students menu, please update your contact info under
the "User Account" section. You can also pay your bill under "Financial
Information" and complete the important Meningitis Notification under

Once you have your class schedule, visit the Seattle University Bookstore or website to learn how to purchase your textbooks.
