The Catholic Heritage Lecture Series 2011-2012

ANNOUNCEMENT: Due to the impending snow storm and uncertainty of safe road conditions this evening for visitors, students, and staff; the University has decided to cancel all evening classes and evening activities today, which unfortunately includes the Catholic Heritage Lecture and related events.

Seattle University announced an annual lecture series that began in the Fall of 2010 focusing on aspects of the Catholic Intellectual Tradition. The lectures explore the intersection of Catholicism and culture. They engage the intellectual and religious communities of the Seattle area, as well as Seattle University faculty, staff, and students. The first lecture series examined the relation of religion and science, particularly the contemporary challenges of an evolving universe to the understanding of God and God’s relationship to the natural world. Reflecting on the Inaugural Year, 2010-2011 


The 2011-12 Catholic Heritage Lecture Series will feature the following nationally recognized scholars who will speak to the theme of this year's series Religion in "Secular" America.
