    |  On Tuesday, October 28th a group of young, married, alums from Seattle U and Gonzaga gathered for dinner and conversation with Gary Chamberlain, SU Theology professor and author of the recent book, Troubled Waters: Religion, Ethics, and the Global Water Crisis.  160 alumni, students, faculty, and friends of the University came to hear Fr. William O'Neill, SJ, Associate Professor of Social Ethics, Jesuit School of Theology at Berkeley, present A Little Common Sense: Catholic Social Teaching on Immigration.  Four Seattle University graduates - Rachael Brown, Francesca Reale, Chris Coley, Sarah Lauren Shives - have gone on to become Jesuit Volunteers in the Pacific Northwest this year.  In August 2007 the Calcutta Club of Seattle University gathered for its first ever reunion. Many alumni returned including Todd Waller, ’86, first student to go to Calcutta, and Dr. Neil Young, retired faculty member and founder of the Caluctta Club. |
