Seattle University's Fine Arts department presents two concerts of moving and inspiring music featuring the Seattle University Choirs, under the direction of Joy Sherman and assistant director Lee Peterson.
The spring concert, based on the four elements "Earth, Wind, Water and Fire" are 8 p.m. Friday April 27 and 2 p.m. Sunday April 29 at St. Joseph Church, 18th Ave. East and East Aloha in Seattle's Capitol Hill neighborhood.
This year’s concert features choral works inspired by the four elements, with the music of composers including Gustav Holst, Claudio Monteverdi, John Dowland, Morton Lauridsen, Eric Whitacre and Jeffery Ames. The choirs will be joined by harpist Ruth Mar and flutist Noory Kim.
Tickets are $25 for reserved seating, $18 for general admission and $7 for students. Tickets may be purchased from the Fine Arts office on the SU campus, from any member of the Seattle University Choirs, or at the door.
