Alumni rate their overall experience at Seattle University
Earlier this year Seattle University sent a survey to alumni
seeking input on how the university supported you, while a student, in your
academic, personal, professional and spiritual development. Central to this
survey was how SU fulfilled its educational mission. More than 1,400 alumni
responded and provided invaluable feedback that will be used to improve the
quality and value of an SU education. Here’s a brief look at some key findings:
- Alumni from both undergraduate and graduate
programs report high levels of satisfaction with the overall quality of
academics, faculty and professional development.
- Alumni indicated a strong sense of connection to
the university mission.
- Undergraduate and graduate alumni believe their
experience at SU reflected that mission.
- Areas that need improvement are centered on campus
engagement and development of the “whole person.”
Information from this survey will be helpful in the
university evaluating its performance against its own standards of success and
specific standards required by the self-study.
