A community designed exclusively for
sophomores located in Chardin Hall that encourages residents to examine
fundamental assumptions they make about themselves and how they think about
existence. By taking Core courses specially designed for residents in that
emphasize deep, critical reflection and ethical/spiritual analysis, residents
will prepare to take the next steps of their vocational discernment process. Sojourners
will reflect upon and clarify their skills, interests, and values; connect
academic interests to career possibilities; and develop the practical tools
needed to pursue a purposeful path forward. Programs and activities include
community dinner and discussion nights, career and networking events, and a
discernment-focused Sophomore Retreat. Throughout the year, we will explore
what brings residents the greatest sense of purpose in their lives, and how to
turn passions into professions.
