Collections
Library collections support faculty teaching and student learning by providing resources in a variety of formats: print, electronic/online, and audiovisual. Collection activities focus on the development and maintenance of collection related policies, coordination of collection assessment techniques, and the management of data and collection statistics for a variety of university and library reports.
Main Collection
Books are available on the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th floors.
Reference Collection
The reference collection consists of both print and online resources. The print collection on the 2nd floor includes atlases, dictionaries, encyclopedias, handbooks and specialized sources. These print materials are available for use when the library is open, but cannot be checked out.
Reserves Collection
The reserves collection contains library materials temporarily relocated from the main collection or loaned by faculty for use as supplements to their classes. The loan period for material in the reserves collection is set by the faculty member, and is usually for a short period of time and limited to use within the library.
Materials in this collection may be searched by clicking on the Course Reserves tab in the online catalog. For more information, see the Course Reserves policies page.
