The future Lemieux Library and McGoldrick Learning Commons

Interim Library Render

Lemieux Library & McGoldrick Learning Commons will be Seattle University’s innovative 21st-century expression of traditional and innovative academic library collections, services, and facilities co-located and operating in intentional collaboration with other core student academic support services, including the Learning Center, the Speaking Center, and the Writing Center.

Opening in September 2010, this new structure will combine 37,000 square feet of new construction on three floors with the renovation of the five floors of the original 1966 A.A. Lemieux Library Building, offering a reconfigured approximately 125,000 square foot facility.

The Learning Commons provides robust academic support services that help Seattle University students become more fully engaged and skilled in the  process of creating their best possible academic work

The Learning Commons is the destination of first choice for students seeking a supportive environment, collaborative, community and specialized resources to develop skills that will assist them in reaching their full academic potential.
